Acting in Front of Camera Workshop
The workshop contains the following
– Relaxation, concentration, and emotional memory exercises
– Training the actor on how to deal with the camera in movies and TV series, and qualifying him to understand the nature of the role during the various stages of the film, starting from the performance test (casting), until he finishes performing his role.
– It helps the actor to create the character he will perform, and how to work on developing it.
– The study in the workshop is a practical study, based on exercises and scenes filmed in front of the camera.
– The workshop also includes studying cinema culture, and cinematic professions, and getting acquainted with the terminology that the actor will need while working on films and TV dramas.
– Each participant gets the scenes that he will perform at the end of the workshop
– (A softcopy) He can include it in his showreel and present it as a precedent for his work in case he submits any casting.
– All participants are granted a certificate of participation in the workshop by the company.
– The workshop allows actors and actresses to participate in the company’s work. Eleven members of the workshop participated in the movie (Fragile) directed by Ahmed Rashwan.
Filmmaking workshop
“Dream Production” is organizing a specialized workshop for making feature films under the supervision of director Ahmed Rashwan, which includes practical and theoretical aspects.
-The workshop includes the stages of filmmaking as follows:
– How to choose a movie idea, and develop it
– Stages of script writing: Summary – Characters – Treatment – Scenes
– Stages of film making:
Pre-Production Phase:
- Choosing the work team – choosing filming locations – casting – financing – budget – schedules and transcripts
Shooting / Production Phase
- How to make decoupage is studied, and techniques related to photography, lighting, sound, and representation are studied.
Post-production stage:
- The student learns about editing – sound – music – screenings– festivals
- During the workshop, examples of important international and Egyptian long and short feature films will be presented and studied.
- The participant chooses an idea from the beginning for a short film to be practically trained in writing and preparing it during the workshop
- The participant does a practical training with the camera during the workshop to apply the rules that are being taught
- All participants are granted a certificate of participation in the workshop by the company.
